National editorial cost guides are used only with a publication date and a clear label, never as a substitute for a primary source. This site does not cite competitor pages, directories, forums, or cost aggregators as authority for any claim.

This order matters most for the numbers that owners rely on. A spacing figure, a soil-bearing requirement, a fee, a label rule, or an insurance requirement is taken only from the statute, rule, or agency that actually sets it, and the source is named at the point it is used so a reader can check it. When no primary source supports a specific local figure, the figure is not published at all.

Verification-date practice

Consequential claims carry a visible review date. A date changes only on a material recheck of the underlying source, never simply because a page was rebuilt. That keeps a review date meaningful: it tells you when the fact was last checked, not when the site was last deployed.
